Volunteering at the Kiwanis Pavilion
Volunteers play a vital role at The Kiwanis Pavilion, assisting staff in fulfilling our goal of providing a warm home like environment for our residents and treating them with respect, dignity and compassion.
Volunteers provide residents with an important link to the outside community.
Our goal is to create a welcoming atmosphere for meaningful community involvement, and valuable learning opportunities for volunteers, residents and our staff. Garth Homer Society and Integra Support Services are two of our community partners who assist us weekly in achieving this goal.
Volunteers are needed to assist the Activity & Rehabilitation Team, or our Music Therapist in encouraging participation in a wide range of programs at the Kiwanis Pavilion. Volunteers would be assisting in programs offered Monday-Friday 8-4pm.
We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with: Recreation activities, Entertainment Socials, Music & Memory, Grands & Tots, One to One Visitors, Pet Visitors, Special Events and more.
Kiwanis Pavilion would also welcome volunteers to join our Pastoral Care Team who provide mutli-denominational church services weekly & one to one Pastoral visits.

The Kiwanis Pavilion has a partnership with Volunteer Victoria, a local non-profit agency that provides information about volunteer opportunities throughout the Greater Victoria area. They have excellent information on what volunteering is all about, how to become a volunteer, and how to get the most out of your volunteer experience whether here at the Kiwanis Pavilion or at another worthy organization.
